A document concerning plans for audiovisual components of Comcast’s second Philadelphia tower, the under construction Comcast Innovation and Technology Center, suggests that Comcast plans to build a third building as part of their Center City Philadelphia campus. The engineering document, a Basis of Design report for the space NBC10 will occupy, states that “DAS design will consider the 3 building campus (present and future) and should not be designed as a standalone system.” What this means is that the building’s Wireless Digital Antenna System should work seamlessly with two other buildings on the Comcast Campus. At present, there is only one other building on the Campus, Comcast’s Corporate Headquarters at The Comcast Center. The evidence helps to confirm the rumor that Comcast and Liberty Property Trust are planning on building a new structure for the fast-growing company.

Speculation first arose that Comcast would be building a third tower after Comcast and Liberty Property Trust bought a number of properties across from CITC at 19th and Arch. In April of 2015, Philly.com reported that Comcast had no specific plans for the new parcels with Liberty Property Trust CEO saying “there’s nothing around the corner.”

Below are screenshots of the document.
